Topic:  Good Works Project

The ASQ Raleigh Section, through the National ASQ Community Good Works Project, is proud to work with Durham Crisis Response Center to apply the principles of quality management and process improvement to increase the value and impact of DCRC’s vital work to the community.  This presentation will describe the approaches taken to support DCRC, the measures developed to quantify quality, and the available results of this important community initiative.

Topic:  The Importance of Quality in Marketing

Quality plays a big part of marketing and communications for today’s companies.  Brand value is largely measured by the quality of the product/service and supporting services (tech/customer support, warranty, etc.) by the consumer/buyer.  It’s important for marketing to understand the quality measurements, processes, etc. when marketing a product to both internal and external audiences.

Quality in the Triangle 2008 May 20, 2008 North Raleigh Hilton

The key note speaker for our upcoming Quality in the Triangle event will be Dr. Blanton Godfrey, Dean of the College of Textiles at NC State University.  If you are interested in volunteering, speaking or have recommendations, please contact Frank Golden, Conference Chair, at frank.j.golden@gsk.com or Jim Murrell at Jim.Murrell@flextronics.com.

Six Sigma Special Interest Group (SIG) 4th Tuesday (Monthly) 6-7:30pm Nortel Networks

Registration is open for these events on the website http://asqraleigh.org/events/

Meetings are scheduled for the 4th Tuesday each month, between September 25 thru May 27, and excluding December.

“Discussion Topics” will be lead by facilitators using existing examples/ projects, allowing for bidirectional dialog to discuss approaches.

Speaking Opportunity  

The local chapter of the Institute for Supply Management is looking for someone to do a presentation on Supplier Qualification at their January meeting.
