We will miss you Shyam Banik!
Shyam transitioned out of this phase at his request on September 9th after a month long & extraordinarily brave battle for life.
Shyam joined ASQ in 1970, with member number 4720 he received certifications for Quality Auditor and Quality Engineer.
During and after a long tenure with Nortel, Shyam was active in ASQ Canada as well as ASQ Raleigh.
He last spoke to our section in October and was an active volunteer for the ASQ Raleigh Program and local Quality Conference Committees. Shyam Banik - ASQ Raleigh Photos

Topic: Given the upsurge in activities associated with the nuclear industry, the theme for this year’s conference will be: Quality Assurance: Back to Basics.
The American Society for Quality’s Energy and Environmental Division, in collaboration with ASQ’s Design and Construction Division, will be hosting the 35th Annual Energy and Environmental Training and Education Conference on September 15 -18, 2008 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, North Carolina.

Senior member of ASQ and Secretary of the Raleigh Section. Participating in the ASQ Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional exam development process.
