January 2010 Six Sigma SIG Meeting

January 26, 2010

Why are there no Projects? - A Current Reality Tree for Lean Six Sigma Projects”

Presented by Manfred Reithinger

Description: Lean Six Sigma (L6S) projects are often increasingly difficult to define and start after an organization has experienced the first ~ 2 years of the method being rolled out and in use organization wide. “Low-hanging fruit” have been picked. The project pipeline has been worked through, there is an uneasiness developing with Lean Six Sigma as a tool for the company. Using the Theory of Constraints’ thinking approach to construct a Current Reality Tree (CRT) potential causes and effects of this organizational behavior were identified and discussed.
