6:00pm-8:00pm The Duke University Health System (DUHS) Core Laboratory was established in November 2002. It is a routine testing facility which services Duke University Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital and Durham Regional Hospital. In addition the Core Lab provides testing services to a large outreach service comprised of Duke Affiliated Physicians, Clinics (hospital and outpatient) and other local physician offices. In March of 2008, the laboratory was able to implement a state-of-the-art fully automated, robotic system for performance of high volume chemistry and immunochemistry testing. The implementation of robotics has allowed the laboratory to improve its turnaround time for result reporting as well as more efficiently handle the growing workload of outreach testing
