“Capability Indices, Mystery Solved”

Presented by Greg Roth

Learn more about process capability indices (cpk, cpm, cr, etc). Capability indices are used in the measurement phase of the DMAIC process (Six Sigma). A capability index is ratio between tolerance spread and process spread that yields a number to determine how good or how bad the process performs. This is a comprehensive presentation of every indices (9) that is in use today. Experience has shown that there is more misunderstanding, than understanding of indices. We will cover how the calculation is made, pros and cons to each index, and explain why the myths surrounding each are usually wrong. The audience will be in a position to choose which indices are the best for their respective application.  ‘Greg Roth published a paper on this topic in the Six Sigma Forum magazine in 2005.  In 2006, he received the Cecil C. Craig award from the ASQ Automotive Division for this publication.

Greg will host an open forum fielding questions on the material.Cost: FREE!
