The Grifols Therapeutics plant in Clayton NC is part of a global healthcare company that specializes in the production of medicines derived from human plasma, the liquid portion of blood. Plasma contains many proteins that are essential for normal physical and neurologic function. Patients around the world rely on our plasma-derived medicines to treat rare and life-threatening conditions such as immune deficiencies, hemophilia, genetic emphysema, and other diseases that cannot be adequately treated with traditional pharmaceutical drugs.
This tour will be excellent follow-up to our tour last year of the Talecris Plasma Donor center in Raleigh, and a subsequent ASQ-Raleigh dinner meeting with a presentation on Grifols Plasma Operations Quality and Safety Processes.
