Presentation Summary:  Jim Sponsler, a Quality Engineer at Plexus will be presenting a project case study from the medical device industry. Quality systems around release testing are critical to assure the safety identity strength quality and purity of any cGMP regulated product, but these release testing plans have a dark side. Test plans consume product, delay release times (tie up capital), and increase the cost of goods sold. Designing and maintaining a product specific test plan is critical for a products sustainable life cycle, balancing both quality and economic risk. In this talk Jim will present a case study on alternative methods for selecting verification sample sizes.
