Position: HCS Business Practice Improvement Manager
Location: 1330 Environ Way
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday

Description
The Carolina Value Business Practice Improvement Manager is responsible for overseeing daily activities associated with one or more medium to large-scale projects across UNC Health Care and UNC School of Medicine (SOM). Projects range from implementing new structures, to designing new processes, to assessing and improving the efficiency of core business functions at a given entity. This individual will develop project execution strategies, support business cases, various high-level stakeholders and project management plans.

Duties
This individual will work within the Carolina Value Engagement Management structure and interface daily with stakeholders from all UNC Health Care and SOM entities and external consultants to successfully define, plan, execute and deliver desired outcomes. This individual will also work collaboratively with administrative leaders/teams, physicians, clinicians and executives to achieve high performance outcomes. This individual will report to a Carolina Value Senior Business Practice Improvement Manager and will work within a team of Project and Senior Managers to achieve Carolina Value’s strategic objectives.

Education
Candidate is required to have a Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Science or a Health Care-related field.

Professional Experience
Candidate is required to have at least five (5) years of management consulting, business process improvement design and implementation, project management, health care leadership or related business experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferences
-Master’s degree in Business Administration, Science or a Health Care-related field (e.g. MHA, MPH, MSN)
-Healthcare experience
-Proven ability to lead complex project initiatives in a clinical and/or business environment
-Excellent analytical and communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills
-Proven ability to excel and achieve results in a team-oriented, matrixed environment
-Experience leading groups of stakeholders/leaders to achieve quantifiable results
-Knowledge of project and change management techniques and tools
-Highly responsive to internal customers
-Lean Six Sigma Certification at Yellow Belt Level or higher

Qualifications
