Six Sigma SIG Update

Six Sigma SIG is our ASQ Raleigh Chapter’s special interest group that focuses on Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. In our meetings we showcase our members and special guest’s project work as well as tutorials on new and cutting edge quality tools.

Our meetings are very informal with a lot of question and answer time allowing us to delve deeply into some very interesting topics.  Please be a part of our growing and interesting group. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Presenter: Heather Johnson, MSQM, PMP, ASQ CQA

Presenter Bio:  Heather Johnson is a Quality Management expert – Scientist(Bachelor’s) who became an Engineer (Masters); now working on a doctoral degree with a focus on Quality Management/Technology Management. Multilingual (speak 5 different languages, process oriented: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional with ISO expertise. Heather loves to integrate science, engineering and technology to help corporations become world class business performers. Technology, Quality and Project management professional with over 35 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical Device arena for several global companies now giving back to society working with a non-profit organization – PATH. Award winning Leader and Manager of complex multi-million dollar projects utilizing cross functional international teams. Heather spent 4 years working and residing in Europe (outside of Amsterdam).

 Presentation Title:  Quality Risk Management – What are the benefits of integrating into your projects?

Presentation Summary:  In the 21st century, many quality driven organizations in regulated environments, are being forced to drive their products to market faster and leaner. What are some of the implications as related to Quality Risk Management? What are critical elements to consider when analyzing risks from a quality perspective?

 Date: May 29th, 2018

Time: 5:30pm with 30 minutes of socializing and promptly begin the presentations at 6:00pm.  Typically we are finished between 7:00pm and 7:30pm depending on discussion and question time.
