Six Sigma SIG Update

Six Sigma SIG is our ASQ Raleigh Chapter’s special interest group that focuses on Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. In our meetings we showcase our members and special guest’s project work as well as tutorials on new and cutting edge quality tools.

Our meetings are very informal with a lot of question and answer time allowing us to delve deeply into some very interesting topics.  Please be a part of our growing and interesting group. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Presenter: Fang Zhou

Presenter Bio:  Fang Zhou is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Project Management Professional with experience in R&D, manufacturing, quality, and management consulting.  He is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement.  He combines his expertise in Lean Six Sigma, change management, and project management to help organizations achieve sustainable improvements.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry from Yale University.

 Presentation Title:  Applying Lean Six Sigma in manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments

Presentation Summary: Fang Zhou will faciltate a group discussion on the opportunities and challenges in applying Lean Six Sigma in various environments, including manufacturing, R&D and support functions.
Bring your questions and share your stories, lessons learned with others.

 Date:  February 26, 2019

Time: 5:30pm with 30 minutes of socializing and promptly begin the presentations at 6:00pm.  Typically we are finished between 7:00pm and 7:30pm depending on discussion and question time.
