Six Sigma SIG is our ASQ Raleigh Chapter’s special interest group that focuses on Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. In our meetings we showcase our members and special guest’s project work as well as tutorials on new and cutting edge quality tools. Share your Six Sigma experiences with ASQ SIG. Tell us about your Six Sigma and Lean project success or get help with issues.
Our meetings are very informal with a lot of question and answer time allowing us to delve deeply into some very interesting topics. Please be a part of our growing and interesting group. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
UPDATE (3/17/2020): We will hold this meeting as a WEBINAR using WebEx. Please register by Sunday March 29. You will receive the webinar information on Monday March 30 (the day before the meeting). The meeting location will not be at Gregory Poole. Everyone is attending it virtually.

Presentation Title: Using Organizational Analysis Methodology to Identify Process Improvement Opportunities and Select Projects that Provide the Best Value
Have you ever wondered how projects are selected in your organization? Is it done by the quality department? By executive management or senior leadership? By a hired consultant? How are projects identified? By using DMAIC and Project Identification Selection Workshops? How are the best projects chosen from among the alternatives? This presentation describes how a structured assessment of an organization’s key business processes can be used effectively to identify, value, prioritize and select the best value opportunities for process improvement projects.
Joe Hendrix is a consultant, trainer and author with more than 30 years’ experience in supply chain management, project management, and process improvement. He has Big Four Consulting experience and has worked with a variety of small, medium, and large-sized firms in a wide variety of industries to improve supply chain processes, optimize production processes, improve vendor performance and supplier collaboration, and implement IT applications and ERP systems.
Joe has been a keynote speaker for the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Association (VICS) and has presented at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business’ Logistics Executive Development Program.
He holds certifications as an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) and Scrum Master. Joe is very passionate about sharing his knowledge, skills, and experience with new audiences who are ready to apply those lessons within the workplace.

Time: 5:30pm with 30 minutes of socializing and promptly begin the presentations at 6:00pm. Typically we are finished between 7:00pm and 7:30pm depending on discussion and question time.

No ASQ membership or Lean Six Sigma experience is required to attend. Attendees receive 0.5 RU credit, and presenters receive 1 RU credit towards ASQ certification renewal.
