Six Sigma Special Interest Group

November 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Presenter:  Susan Barnes is a change management expert and has extensive knowledge/experience helping companies implement change management techniques for implementing process or organizational change. She will partner with David Ball and lead this session where we will discuss the change management aspects that every quality professional should be aware of and be able to use to navigate through tough change environments.

Presentation Title: Why Can’t I Get this Change to Implemented?

Presentation Summary:  From the last Six Sigma meeting, David Ball discussion, that was titled: “Repetitive Quality Issue, not again”, went over why repetitive quality issues are present in organizations. He presented a framework where you can evaluate why repeat quality issues are happening. In the discussion he went over a short brief around change management. This was a Hot topic and one that needed more exploration. This session will build from this and show the audience what is change management. Also, we will talk through two scenarios that every quality person will have to address in their quality career.

1)           How to get a leader to change what they do so to improve the quality culture?

2)           How to pull through process changes where the affected teams embrace the change so to increase the probability of the changes being implemented?
