ASQ Raleigh regularly sets aside funds to use in community projects or to support local charities.
ASQ Raleigh supported the Food Bank of NC with $3000, Friends of the Museum with $1000, and Morehead Planetarium with $1000 donations. We also held a food drive in conjunction with our annual Quality in the Triangle Conference as well several volunteer days for the Food Bank of NC.
ASQ Raleigh supported the Food Bank and Wake County Habitat with $3000 and $1000 donations respectively as well with volunteer days. In addition we donated $1000 to Duke Children’s Hospital. We participated in a Toys for Tots drive sponsored by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and held a food drive in conjunction with our annual Quality in the Triangle Conference as well.
ASQ Program year ending June 30, 2011, ASQ Raleigh provided $5000 to support our Community Good Works program, an initiative from ASQ to improve the services of local non-profits through the use quality tools and techniques. This year, in addition to quarterly volunteer days, we donated $3000 to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to help with tornado relief efforts and $1000 each to Wake County Habitat for Humanity and Duke Children’s Hospital.
